Have I Lost It Again For Forever?
The situation of course seems to be alarming and as a beginning to another dark episode. Anyone can lose its heart to such a loss. The first thing that will strike your mind is about the failure of the transplant process and all your futuristic hopes come crashing. But, is it really beginning of a new problem, or it is something quite natural and not to be taken very seriously.
Any degree of consolation, except crystal clear advice from an expert of hair loss treatment will seem futile. However, just to lower your agony, you might note that such occurrences of hair fall after FUE and FUT process are quite normal and experienced by many. Moreover, in almost all of the cases these the hair will grow back within nest 1-3 months and will be visible in another 3 months time.
The reason behind such loss is attributed to phenomenon called ‘Shock Loss’. At the time of hair transplantation, the extracted grafts are punched between existing hair the next day of transplant you also experience some redness and swelling over the recipient area. The redness and swelling is caused as the body tries to heal the donor and recipient area after it is punched through needles for extraction and implantation. In the process, the follicles of the newly embedded grafts experience treatment shock and fall off after a week or 10 days.
Non-Resistant to DHT
In some of the cases the existing hair also experiences shock and their follicles die giving way to new hair. However, in both of the cases, the fall is only of the follicles and hair but the grafts remain intact and with time new hairs grow out of them. But, in case the used grafts happen to be wrongly sliced or are from an area of scalp that does not have DHT resistant hair, then such grafts fall of permanently. But, such cases are rarest of rare and could directly be attributed to poor experience and expertise of the hair loss surgeon.
Stress and other reasons
Apart from these reasons, stress can also cause temporary hair fall of both existing hair and those recently grafted. Such types of loss is attributed to the stress related hair fall or Telogen Effluvium. In this case, hair grows back once the person is distressed. Another reason for loss of hair after FUE and FUT process could also be attributed to condition, when the grafts used were already in the last stage of their growth and life cycle, and in any case were to fall off in some time. Again, such a fall is compensated as per natural growth cycle of the implanted hair. However, if the loss is severe and continued, it is best to consult your surgeon or hair transplant expert for detailed diagnosis and treatment.
